Tony Cliff BMus (Hons), MPhil, ALCM, FISM, FLCM, Cert.Ed graduated from Royal Holloway College, University of London and his early career combined teaching, lecturing and professional performing. For many years he was Senior Lecturer in Music at the University of Salford, specialising in jazz composition, arranging, history, and analysis and performance techniques and it was during this time that his music began to be published. His work is currently published by several companies including Stainer and Bell, Faber Music, Studio Music, Kirklees Music and Winwood Music. His music ranges from works for solo instrument and piano to choral pieces and works for brass band and jazz orchestra. A number of his compositions have been recorded on CD and have been regularly broadcast.
